!Skipton Family Tree!

I’ve done it. I created a family tree for the Skiptons!

  • The image under the read more is a thumbnail, so although it’s still readable it is a smaller version of the actual tree, which I created as a 1400×1760 image. CLICK the image to see the bigger one.
  • Spares partners and/or children aren’t on it because that would be a nightmare for me to make.
  • Every family member’s nameplate is in their favourite colour and twins/triplets have special markers on them.
  • Siblings are placed in order of oldest to youngest.
  • I tried to place the Torch-Holder directly under their parents, but it became difficult in some generations.
  • I haven’t written numbers on the heirs, which I realize now that I could have done oops. Instead the main bloodline is a bolder line than the lines to spares. Also the border around the THs are bolder.
  • I might change the main line into a different colour if you find it confusing, although if you know who the heirs are then it shouldn’t be a problem.
  • If you’re all up to date on the legacy then this doesn’t have any spoilers on it at all, but if you haven’t caught up then beware.
  • My resolution is 1440×900 so naturally I state that it is the best resolution to view this monster at. If your resolution is very low you may need to scroll to oblivion.
  • Ok, go!

Here’s also a link to a 900×1131 image, in case the largest is too big for you.

Most liked colours: Spiceberry and blue, green, lime and orange with 4 sims each. Spiceberry and blue were the founders’ favourite colours!

I know who Isobel’s partner is and you don’t! No, but I really should start writing that next update. Let me know what you think of the tree. Is it too busy? Does the link not work? Love it?

Okay bye.

Hi Mariah! Nice work on the Family Tree! I just wanted to let you know that Monty has a line connecting him to Alathea, like he’s her child. Also, when clicking on the tree itself, Photobucket says the link is “incorrect”. I just thought you should know! I can’t wait to find out who Isobel is with! :D Also, I’m drinking peppermint tea.

    • Mariah Says:

Yikes. I guess it doesn’t like the high-res link. Does it work now?
Also fixed Monty, wow. It was late /excuse

      Peppermint tea FTW!

    • Mariah Says:

Hmm, I sent the high-res link to my roommate and it worked for him. Maybe I messed up the html..

  2. Emma Says:

Yeah, it’s still not working. This comes up when I click on the tree and the link: http://pic.photobucket.com/incorrect_link.gif

    • Mariah Says:

Please tell me it works now D:

  3. Shizume Says:

    Hey, Mariah. (:

Also chiming in about the link not working, which is a majour bummer since I want to see the family tree in all of it’s giant splendor so badly.

    • Mariah Says:

      Try now :)

      • Shizume Says:

Yes! It works now. :) Generation eight is definitely my favourite generation and the ninth generation is so attractive! So close to the end now.

Are you done with legacies after this one or do you have plans for more? Will the Shepard legacy move into the spotlight and be finished or do you just not know yet?

        • Mariah Says:

Actually I didn’t count the founders as a generation, so Isobel is generation 8 heiress, instead of 9. I think I’ll go number the generations so there’s less confusion :)

I’m planning a perfect genes challenge after the Skiptons. I haven’t decided if I want to finish the Shepherds first or not. I suppose I should or else they’ll be on the back burner forever.

          • Shizume Says:

Hmm. A perfect genes challenge? What is that?

I stalk a few Sims 3 legacies to hold me until I get a new computer that I can buy and install the games on. I only have Sims 3 on my PS3 and it pales in comparison to the PC version that I want so badly.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion on the generations and for numbering them as well. That means that generation seven is actually my favourite one. ♥ Looking forward to any and everything Sims related that you do.

            • Mariah Says:

Perfect genes is when you make a sim with unusual genetics(purple hair? red eyes!) and only the children that have both the hair and eyes are eligible for heirship. It’s pretty tough.
My roommate has the PS3 version too and she only has it cause she doesn’t have a computer(her laptop kind of sucks for games) so I’ve seen her play it and yeah.. pc all the way xD

Ah, seven! With all the boys.. and Jack.
Thank you, I’m looking forward to playing :)

              • Shizume Says:

Oh. So that means you HAVE to keep having children until one possesses the genetics required? That does sound difficult but also interesting.

Yep. Lucky number seven. I may be biased here though since Raph is my favourite Skipton. (: Will you be uploading Agustin as well? I checked the downloads and he wasn’t there, so I figured that I’d ask.

                • Mariah Says:

                  Yup, that’s the idea!

Someone already asked for Gus and I keep forgetting, but yes I will upload him. Keep an eye out for him.

  4. Emma Says:

Yay! It’s working now. And I see you edited Monty. :D It looks fabulous!

    • Mariah Says:

      YAAAAAY! :D Victory is ours!

  5. Cassie Says:

Oh my… This is so helpful. Thank you so much. But one thing… can you put numbers on the heir/ess so like you did with the Chimeree’s? And can you tell me why some of the people have a WooHoo symbol next to another person who is not the spouse? Is it supposed to mean that they had that kid with that person and not the spouse or what? Cause those are the only problems I found and the link works which is great… cause it is so small… Love it. Great job.

    • Mariah Says:

I put numbers on the tree, they’re on the left side on the biggest sized picture(click on the image) :)

I.. what. Um, this tree is no more complex than other sims family trees that I have observed.
Examine Alathea. She married Alli, yes? Then they got divorced because she cheated and had a baby with Bronx. Explains the woohoo heart. And there is a clear line descending from Alathea and Bronx down to Brennan. That line means Thea and Bronx are Brennan’s parents. Now look at Santana. She married Sinclair, agree? But before that she had a baby with Oriole, did she not? The line between Oriole and Santana leads down to Jack who was their daughter. How else would I mark these encounters? Follow the lines. Where do they come from and where do they lead. That is how family trees work. I really don’t know how to make it more clear on the image, I’m sorry.

  6. Emma Says:

Here, I’ll be snarky for you, Mariah. Here’s what happened: Alathea cheated on Alison with Bronx Mogli to produce Brennan and Santana woohooed with Oriole to produce Jack. Santana wasn’t married to Sinclair at the time. It’s easier to understand if you read the legacy. That wasn’t really snarky, but I tried.

Oh, and Mariah, in your Sim Downloads, Isobel is labeled as Sybil. Just thought you should know! And keep up the good work. :D

I should stop posting on here….I look like a crazy person.

Wow, great work! That must have taken forever… It looks awesome though!!
